There are few places where Swedish cultural history, a strong local food tradition and playful meeting facilities converge as they do in Astrid Lindgren’s Vimmerby. Here, in the very place Astrid Lindgren grew up, you will find an inspiring and unique location to gather colleagues, friends or partners. Just as many of Astrid’s stories have their origins here, so to can this be a place of inspiration for you to write your own new chapters. We’ll take care of everything else.

Here you will find a place for knowledge, inspiration, experiences and good food. Add to that our unique guest accommodation The Tiny Town right next to the conference centre in Astrid Lindgren’s World. Our premises are suitable for everything from small lunch meetings to all-day conferences with overnight accommodation.
The Tiny Town
Here you can stay in comfort among the back streets and squares where there is space for play and socialising. The accommodation has an open-plan living area and a private bathroom and kitchen. The houses are designed with inspiration from early 1900s Vimmerby – the model for the Tiny Town in many of Astrid Lindgren’s books, from Pippi Longstocking to Master Detective Blomkvist. “Storgatan and Lillgatan, that’s all there was, as well as the big square. Everything else was just small, hilly, cobblestone-paved alleys and cul-de-sacs…”
