Child-friendly accommodation with the park outside the door

Astrid Lindgren’s World’s guest accommodation has been built at the edge of the forest next to the park. There are several different accommodation options in houses where the streets and surroundings are inspired by early-20th century Vimmerby – ‘The Tiny Town’, or in smaller cottages with their own patios near the forest.

Space for many more guests
For summer 2022, we’re building a whole new quarter in The Tiny Town, and right next to the park we’re developing a completely new area with lots of pitches for motorhomes and caravans. By summer 2023, the next quarter in The Tiny Town will be completed. See the general map of our guest accommodation for information about the areas in which we’re building the new quarters.

The Tiny Town

In The Tiny Town you can stay in comfort amongst the backstreets and squares with space for play and being together. The design of the houses is inspired by early-20th century Vimmerby – the model for the small town in many of Astrid Lindgren’s books – from Pippi Longstocking to Master Detective Blomkvist. There is a mixture of different house types and styles for 6–13 people in each unique accommodation unit.

here you can play

Spread out between the houses and cottages, there is space for lots of different kinds
of play. There are boats to climb on and slide in, wooden animals to ride and feed, and
alleys and backstreets to sneak around. You can play freely without the disturbance of
cars and other dangers. Explore the area and find the kind of play you like.

Cottages

At the edge of the forest next to The Tiny Town is an area with cottages and crofts. Here, you can choose to stay in Granstugan or Ekebostugan, the slightly smaller cottage option with 4 + 1 beds in 16 sq. m, with a sleeping area, small kitchenette and private bathroom with a shower. Both cottage types have their own furnished patios.
