For those with allergies

We cook food to suit the vast majority of our visitors and choose ingredients with that in mind. For dishes that contain allergens, we try to offer alternatives. It is important that all guests feel welcome at Astrid Lindgren’s World and therefore the options for those with allergies are constantly being expanded at our various food outlets.

Options for those with allergies

The park has a specific member of staff trained to deal with allergies, who is responsible for the overall work of providing options for allergy sufferers. Our staff are trained in allergies and allergens, and they are happy to tell you how to combine dishes to keep you and your children full and happy. However, you know most about your allergy, so please do not hesitate to share your needs with us so that we can find something to suit you.

When ordering food, it is important to inform staff if you have an allergy or intolerance so they can take extra steps to ensure your food is handled without risk of contamination. Often you can easily change the part of a dish that you need to avoid or can’t tolerate, such as getting gravy instead of cream sauce if you can’t tolerate milk protein, or choosing unbreaded fish if you are intolerant to gluten or eggs.

Our cafés have a number of options for gluten-free and dairy-free sandwiches and there are various cakes that are gluten-free, dairy-free and/or egg-free. All our ingredients are listed, so if you want to double-check something to be sure, just ask our staff for help.

If you want energy to play, you need to eat

Days filled with play sometimes require a break to replenish energy supplies. In our restaurants we cook all our food from scratch, in our own kitchens and using almost all local ingredients.
