The Day of Battle
The people of Wild Rose Valley are secretly preparing for the Day of Battle, when the valley will finally be liberated from the tyrant Tengil. Tengil and his soldiers are still searching for Jonathan Lionheart and imposing harsher punishments on the people of Wild Rose Valley who are concealing him. Jonathan and Crusty set off to rescue Orvar from Katla Cave, and so a chase through the mountains begins, with the soldiers close on their heels. Crusty can’t run so fast and lets Orvar and Jonathan escape ahead of him, so they can come and pick him up later.
After seeing Jonathan, Orvar and the soldiers disappear, Crusty meets some people he recognises. It’s Sofia, Hubert and… Jossi! Sofia still doesn’t know that Jossi is the traitor! When Crusty reveals him, Jossi flees into the mountains. Then they set off for Wild Rose Valley again, because now the day has come – the Day of Battle. Many cries are heard in Wild Rose Valley that day, but one unlike any other. Katla has arrived – an ancient female dragon who can paralyse anyone with her fire and who only listens to Tengil’s battle horn.
The performance ‘The Day of Battle’ contains scenes and effects that can be scary, which is why we have chosen to set a minimum age recommendation of 9 years and over.
