Rental terms
The following rental terms apply when booking accommodation via astridlingrensvarld.se. By completing your booking you accept these terms.
Booking and payment
Once you have completed your booking, a confirmation will be sent to your email address as soon as possible. The price of your booking is indicated at the time of booking and in the booking confirmation. The booking is binding for both parties upon payment of the instalment indicated in the booking confirmation. The deposit amount and cancellation protection, if applicable, must be received by the guest accommodation at Astrid Lindgren’s World no later than 10 days after the time of booking.
The remaining amount must be received by the guest accommodation at Astrid Lindgren’s World no later than 30 days before arrival. In the event of non-payment, your booking will be cancelled. Please note that you are not entitled to a refund of the first instalment payment even if your booking is cancelled by us.
PLEASE NOTE: If you book for an arrival date within 4 weeks, you must pay by credit card.
CANCELLATION OF COTTAGES, HOUSES AND FLATS:
Cancellation without cancellation protection
The first instalment payment is non-refundable, regardless of the time of cancellation. In the case of a cancellation within 30 days of arrival, only entrance tickets, if applicable, will be refunded.
Cancellation with cancellation protection
If you have chosen to purchase cancellation protection for your booking, you can cancel up to the day before arrival under the following circumstances, assuming they were unknown at the time of booking: a) death, illness or accident to yourself, your spouse, partner, family or fellow traveller b) the occurrence of any other serious event beyond your control that could not have been foreseen at the time of booking and which makes it unreasonable to request that the booking be honoured, e.g. a major fire or flood in the home. You must be able to provide proof for the reason of your cancellation in the form of certificate from a doctor, authority or insurance company.
When cancelling, you must state your booking number and name. Any supporting documentation must be received by us no later than 30 days after the date of cancellation. The amount paid for the booking will be refunded upon Astrid Lindgren’s World receiving proof of the reason for cancellation. Cancellation protection is a non-refundable insurance premium.
CANCELLATION OF A PITCH:
Cancellation and rebooking
Cancellations can be made until 6 pm the day before arrival for a fee of SEK 175. Upon cancellation we will refund the full amount paid except for the cancellation fee. Refunds will be made within a few days, but no later than 30 days. Cancelled stays are not refundable.
Rebooking can be done free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival, after which rebooking is no longer possible and we instead refer you to the cancellation policy.

YOUR RIGHTS
If you are dissatisfied or have any complaints about your accommodation upon arrival, you must inform us as soon as possible, but no later than the day after your arrival. Problems that occur during your stay must be reported to us immediately so that we have the opportunity to rectify them.
YOUR OBLIGATIONS
You are responsible for taking good care of the accommodation/pitch and for following all rules, instructions and regulations in place. You are responsible for any damage that occurs to the accommodation/pitch as a result of your negligence or that of someone in your party. You must not use the accommodation for any purposes other than those agreed at the time of booking (usually leisure purposes), and you must not allow more people to stay in the accommodation than stated at the time of booking. You must clean the cottage/house/flat properly before departure. If you fail to do so, we will carry out cleaning at your expense.
GROUNDS FOR CANCELLATION
Both parties have the right to withdraw from the contract if the accommodation/site cannot be provided due to a labour dispute, war, fire, power failure, government order, terrorist attack, serious infection or other circumstance that significantly impedes our ability to fulfil the contract and which could not be reasonably foreseen or overcome. If such circumstances occur, any amount already paid will be refunded as soon as possible, with possible deductions for benefit already received from the accommodation/pitch. We will not reimburse any costs incurred as a result of early cancellation of your stay.
PERSONAL DATA
