We hope you will enjoy your stay with us and have a good night’s sleep. Out of consideration for our young guests, cars are not allowed in the area around our accommodation. We would like to wish you a warm welcome. If you have any questions or would like to add any options to your house, you are always welcome to the reception in the grounds.

If you discover any defects or shortcomings in the house, you must inform the reception immediately. If the reception is closed, notify us no later than 10.00 the next day. For urgent problems, phone the on-call number on the arrival envelope.

Good to know A-Z

Admission tickets to Astrid Lindgren’s World
Please bring your tickets to one of our hosts at the entrance and they will help you scan your tickets. You can scan them directly from your phone or printed. If you need to leave the park during the day, contact one of the hosts at the information to get a readmission ticket. If you have booked your entrance tickets as an option in your accommodation booking you will also have access to the entrance gate which only applies to our accommodation guests. Other entrance tickets are referred to the main entrance.

 

Allergies
In most of our house types pets are allowed.
Out of consideration for people with allergies, pets are not permitted in accommodation marked with (pets not allowed)
None of our accommodation is decontaminated for allergy sufferers.

 

Barbecues
There are several common barbecue areas that you are free to use. Charcoal and lighter fuel are available to buy in the shop in the reception building. We refer to these barbecue areas for everyone’s safety. Disposable barbecues are not allowed in the area.

 

Breakfast
In one of the restaurants in the park, close to the Tiny town, we serve a tasty, filling breakfast buffet every morning for guests staying in our accommodation. It includes freshly baked bread, milk, a selection of sandwich toppers, cereals and oatmeal porridge. We also have a range for gluten and lactose intolerance. If you are an early bird and want to get as much out of the day as possible, we offer the early breakfast sitting during the mainseason.
Our breakfast is very popular and usually books up quickly. If you have forgotten to book, you can of course ask in the reception if there are any places left. Breakfast is served first and foremost only to guests who stay in our accommodation. (NOTE! Entrance to the park from the breakfast restaurant is not possible, we refer to the entrance gates.

 

Checking out
You must check out at the latest at 11.00 on the departure date (10.00 if you have added final cleaning).
When checking out, hand in your key to the reception or put it in our express box outside the reception.
Don’t forget to go through the checklist you were given on arrival.

 

Cleaning
You must clean your accommodation before departure. Cleaning materials are provided in all accommodation. See the cleaning checklist you were given when checking in. If you have added final cleaning, you also have some ”to do” in the check list. N.B. washing-up is not included in final cleaning. If the washing-up has not been done when you have booked final cleaning, a charge of 300 SEK will be made. If the accommodation is left uncleaned, a charge a 2000 SEK will be made afterwards.

 

Cot/high chair
We have a limited number of cots and high chairs. There is a high chair in all the accommodation in The Tiny Town. For other accommodation, high chairs are available to borrow from the reception. Cots can be hired for 150 SEK/night. Contact the reception.

 

Defects and shortcomings in the accommodation
In the event of a defect or shortcoming in your accommodation or uncertainties regarding your booking, you must contact the reception immediately so that we can correct the problem. If the reception is closed, please report the problem at the latest by 10.00 the following day. For urgent problems, phone the on-call number on the arrival envelope.

 

Departure
Go through the checklist on the last page under this tab before your departure. N.B. There is also a checklist if you have purchased final cleaning.

 

Express checkout
If you need to check out early and/or everything is ready with your booking you can use our express checkout. Put the key in the designated letterbox by the entrance to the reception.

 

Fire alarms
Fire alarms in the houses in Den lilla Staden go directly to SOS and cannot/must not be taken down! The cottages have battery-powered alarms.

 

Food
Our accommodation is well equipped with a kitchen and utensils so you can make your own dinner. Our shop in the reception building has most of what you need for cooking.
A restaurant in the park serves an evening dinner most evenings in the summer. It can be booked at the time of your booking or at the reception. For opening times and prices, see the reception.

 

Freezer packs
You can leave your freezer packs in the reception for freezing at no cost.

 

Garbage
Rubbish must be disposed of in the designated containers. There are three places at the guest accommodation facility: Two of them close to the parking areas and one close to the footpath (tunnel) to Astrid Lindgren’s World.

Parking
Our accommodation area is car free. While you are checked in to our accommodation, parking space is included for the guest accommodation. At other times, you can also park free in our main car park. Show your accommodation booking to the car park attendants and you will be given a valid car parking ticket, or collect one in the reception.

Playground
There are different kinds of playgrounds spread around the accommodation area. They include boats to climb and slide on, and wooden animals to ride on and feed, or you could dress up in old-fashioned costumes in the town hall. Take the chance to explore the area to find the play that suits you.

 

Shop
Our shop in the reception building stocks most things, from breakfast provisions such as sandwich toppers, milk and yoghurt, to other food. There are of course also sanitary products, toys, coffee, tea and ice cream as well as barbecue products. If you want to do a big shop, there is a well-stocked grocery shop about 10-15 minutes’ walk from Astrid Lindgren’s World. Follow the footpath from the main entrance to the park.

 

Sets of sheets
If you have forgotten to bring your own sheets/towels you can hire them from our reception. If you discover this after the reception is closed, there are extra sheets in the behind the reception building. Take the sheets, fill in the slip, leave it in the plastic pocket in the box and pay in the reception the next morning. Leave hired sheets inside the front door of your chalet.

 

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of our accommodation or common areas. Use our smoking square behind the reception building.

 

Washing facilities
The service building at the motorhome area has washing machines and tumble dryers that can be used free of charge. Ask for the code in the reception.

Others – rules

  • The number of guests that has been booked for the accommodation is also the number allowed to stay the night there, for, among other reasons, safety. Please inform the reception of any additional guests.
  • Astrid Lindgren’s World Guest House is a family facility. Between 22.00-07.00, all guests must observe the utmost consideration and silence towards other guests.
  • No car traffic may take place in the area.
  • Pets are only allowed in specified accommodations. All animals must be in a leash in the area. We can not guarantee completely pet-free / allergy-free accommodation.
  • Smoking is strictly forbidden indoor. In case of smoking in the accommodation or when pets are staying in accommodation where it is not permitted, you can be charged SEK 5,000 – 10,000 for a decontamination cost.
  • You as a guest are responsible and liable for any damage to property or equipment that arises during the stay. In the event of lost keys that require a lock change, you will also be liable for compensation.
