When Emil makes some remarkable deals at the Backhorva auction

When people want to sell their old belongings and trinkets, they organise an auction for others to come and buy them. Today an auction is being held in Backhorva, and everyone wants to go, including Emil. Auctions are the most fun you can have in Lönneberga and all of Småland.
Emil puts on his cap and gets ready to leave. “But you can’t go to an auction without a penny in your pocket. What you can’t get in one way, you have to get in another,” thinks Emil. One way or another he’s going to the auction, much to his father Anton’s frustration!
