Today is one of those days when it’s no fun to be Smidge. His mother has anaemia and needs to lay down and rest for a while. The housekeeper, Miss Bock, is coming to take care of him while his father is working. Smidge suddenly feels all alone in the world. At that moment he hears a faint buzzing outside the window.
