Madicken and Lice-Mia

In Madicken’s class there’s a girl called Mia, but she is known as ‘Lice-Mia’ because her head is full of lice. Mia says her family is so poor they can’t afford a dad, and Madicken thinks that sounds silly. Madicken thinks Mia is the daftest child in school, and Mia thinks Madicken is stuck-up. Although Madicken decides to try and be nicer to Mia, it’s difficult.

Among the scenes in this performance, you’ll see when Madicken: - balances across the ridge of the school roof,

- gets into a fight with Mia, and

- stops the head teacher when he’s punishing Mia with the cane. The performance contains violent sequences but has a happy ending.
