Midsummer’s Eve, Friday, June 21
A Midsummer’s Eve in Astrid Lindgren’s World doesn’t really look like any other day in the park.
From 14:30 we meet in Björkdungen to help each other dress the maypole and decorate the wreaths with flowers.
14:50-15:00 Raising of the midsummer pole.
15:00-15:55 Dancing and playing around the maypole.
Miss Prysselius leads the games and of course she has good and stable help from our policemen, Kling and Klang, and our very own orchestra. Pippi, Emil, Ronja, Mardie, the Brothers Lionheart, Rasmus and the vagabond and their friends and families are all part of the Midsummer celebrations. So during the celebration, 15:00-15:55, the regular stage programs are cancelled. The rest of the time, the program is in the park as usual.
