Opening hours 2024

Astrid Lindgren’s World will open daily from 17 May to 18 August. We will also open on weekends in August and September, and during the autumn school holidays. Below you can buy tickets and annual passes to Astrid Lindgren’s World. Read more and choose which season you want to visit us – the entrance ticket is then valid on any day during the entire period for each season. Multi-day tickets are valid for consecutive days.

Swedish autumn half-term break in Astrid Lindgren’s World

That Emil, Pippi Longstocking, Ronja the robber’s daughter, Madita, Rasmus the Vagabond are all here, and the whole park is open for play and adventure. The exhibitors include food producers from near and far, craftsmen and sales of handicraft. We have many extra, fun activities throughout the autumn half-term break, and the programme varies slightly from day to day. The daily programme includes several scenes from the books performed in their settings.

Terms for buying an entrance ticket - Astrid Lindgren's World

Prices are stated including VAT. You must be 18 years old to buy a ticket online. Completed order means that you accept our terms of purchase.

Delivery terms vouchers are delivered within a few minutes to the selected e-mail address. The QR code is scanned at the entrance.

Repurchase Purchased tickets cannot be changed to other dates. Tickets can be repurchased only due to illness supported by a medical certificate, up to 48 hours before arrival. The repurchase is charged with a cancellation fee of SEK 275 per purchase and the fee is charged even when parts of the purchase are canceled.

How to pre-book your visit

This year you’ll need to book your visit in advance by selecting a ticket type and date before completing your purchase. This is because there are a limited number of places per day.

Here’s what you need to do:


Choose the correct ticket for you and your group.


Pick the date you would like to visit us using the calendar. Please bear in mind that places are limited.


Your ticket(s) will be sent to the email address provided within a few minutes. Your QR code will then be scanned upon entrance to the park.


Frequently asked questions about tickets and booking

How do I visit Astrid Lindgren’s World this year?

Astrid Lindgren’s World is opened  for a limited number of guests. For that reason, everyone needs to book a place online.

Does everyone in the family need to pre-book their visit?

Yes, everyone needs to pre-book a place in the park regardless of age.

Can I still buy tickets that are valid for any day?

No, you must choose which day you want to visit and pre-book a place.

 

Can’t I buy tickets at the entrance booths to the park?

You must pre-book online to guarantee a place. You will be able to buy tickets on the day at the ticket booths to the park if there are places available; however, we recommend that you book online to avoid crowding at the entrances.

What happens if I’ve booked my visit but can’t make it on the day?

Tickets can be repurchased up to 5 pm on the day before arrival. The repurchase will incur a cancellation fee of 275 SEK per order, which will be charged even if only part of the booking is cancelled. Tickets cancelled after 5 pm on the day before arrival will be charged at the full amount of the order.

Repurchases cannot be processed at the entrance to Astrid Lindgren’s World. Repurchases will always be made to the same card as was used to make the booking.

 

Is it possible to buy a two-day admission ticket?

No, unfortunately this is currently not possible due to the restrictions on our industry.

What age limits are in place?

Children are counted as paying guests as of the day they turn 3 years old. The price of an admission ticket is the same as for adults. Pensioners also pay the same price as adults. Children 0-2 years get free entry but must be included on the booking.

What should I do if I need a personal carer to accompany me in the park?

If you require a personal carer, you should book your place at www.astridlindgrensvarld.se. Personal carers don’t need to pre-book their place and get free entry to the park upon presenting a personal carer’s certificate. When arriving at the park, you can collect a personal carer’s ticket from the ticket booth. Don’t forget your personal carer’s certificate. What if it’s my child’s birthday?
At Astrid Lindgren’s World children get free entry on their birthday. This must be proven with an ID or official document that includes the date of birth. When arriving at the park, go to the ticket booth to get a free ticket.

What if I have an annual season ticket?

How do I buy a parking ticket?

We recommend that you also book your parking space online using the same system as when booking your admission tickets. This is to avoid queues and unnecessary contact at points of sale. It is also possible to buy parking tickets at the car park, from our stewards or from our ticket booths.

Open for play

23/8-26/8, 30/8-2/9 and 6/9-9/9 (Monday-Thursday), 10 am-3 pm.

We are open for play at Astrid Lindgren’s World with free admission. There are no characters on location but all the settings are open for play. The cinema is also open and shows short clips from the Astrid Lindgren films.
Alms Diversehandel is open 12-3 pm, weeks 34, 35.

Stadsmästargården is open 12-3 pm, weeks 35, 36.
